To search something and find something else? To see with your own eyes and look through the eyes of another? Sometimes consciously, sometimes unconsciously. The path is the goal, or the journey is the destination. Sometimes you don't know where you are on the path.
ARTIST STATEMENT
Sometimes it's very light, almost invisible strokes on paper; sometimes it's painting, scraping, overpainting, gluing, blow-drying, shaping, and printing. Alternating between paper and canvas, usually with acrylic, chalk, and/or ink.
Expressing myself through drawing and painting, sometimes also writing or dance, is important to me in order to cope with the world. When the body becomes too confined, the mind breaks out, or sometimes explodes. Building frames and boundaries only to break them, rough and imperfect... There's something about it that can't be explained.
